Description

"Extracting is a very important and useful skill in graphics design. It is a way to gather pieces of visual material to put together to create computer graphics compositions..."

A few months ago, I wrote this article on how to extract images in Adobe Photoshop. It was my contribution to the September/October issue of a simple graphics magazine/newsletter of sorts, and also the first tutorial I've written.

I happen to come across the article last night so I thought I'd share it here as well.

I hope you'll find my simple and very basic tutorial on extraction helpful. Enjoy the article and thank you for reading. =)

Awesome tutorial.

Extracting is always a pain in the butt. I'm still trying to figure out which works best with me after using extracting techniques for months now. So far quick selection and lasso tools have been successful with me. I don't think I have the patience for the pen tool. u_u

There's an actual extract button in photoshop. XD Except things don't turn out so good in my opinion. It's great for extracting pain in the but things like hair.
